Qad Application Support Analyst

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process maps within QAD.
• Communicate application problems and issues to key IT stakeholders, including management, development teams and end users.
• Analyze issue trends and make recommendations to management, IT Business Solutions Architects and Business Analysts about system enhancements.
• Analyze, test, and validate new development for continuous improvement of the ERP systems and other applications.
• Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
• Develop in-depth process and system knowledge of assigned business functions.
• Understand and implement ISO related requirements of information systems.
• Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
• Perform user training as needed.
• Field incoming support tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues.
• Remain continuously aware of business issues within the company.
• Support core business applications/systems software, primarily QAD ERP, and new business processes.
• Assist with writing and executing software validation scripts.
• Assist with implementation activities.
• Perform research on reported problems. Investigate and resolve application issues reported by end users. Collaborate with other IT staff as appropriate.
• Build and maintain a QAD ERP knowledge base and frequently asked questions tools to aid users in self-service.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Associate's Degree from an accredited institution required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• 2-4 years experience with QAD ERP or comparative system preferred

• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to communicate functional concepts and solutions that support business objectives
