As a Property Accountant, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. If you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate property accounting, especially in self-storage or retail properties, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day accounting activities for assigned properties, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Take charge of full P+L responsibilities for two properties, handling cash-based accounting, CAM reconciliations, and lease depreciation for multiple tenants.
Oversee financial reporting for retail properties and self-storage properties in collaboration with a 3rd party.
Prepare and analyze financial data for individual properties, supporting audit control calculations and distribution payouts.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including finance and the director of fund accounting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate property accounting, with a preference for self-storage or retail property experience.
Proficiency in cash basis and accrual accounting methods, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
CPA or CPA designation is preferred.
Private equity property accounting experience is a plus.
Familiarity with Yardi or MRI software is a bonus.
