Description
As a Project Specialist / Executive Assistant , you will have an opportunity to support our team in addressing the most pressing health and wellness needs in Native American communities. You will support all lines of contract activities, contract spending, and communications to ensure the success of the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) Behavioral Health and Wellness Program (BHWP). As part of our ambitious and passionate team, you will have a lasting impact on the mental health and wellness of Native American students.
The BIE BHWP provides culturally relevant, evidence-based, and trauma-informed behavioral health and wellness services for school staff, students, and families at all Bureau-funded institutions, including Bureau-operated schools, Tribally Controlled Schools, post-secondary institutions, and Tribal colleges and universities.
Who We Are: Tribal Tech is a Native American, Woman-Owned Small Business providing professional services to federal, state, local, tribal, and private sector clients. Our mission is to empower communities and individuals with the knowledge and resources to achieve better health, security, and well-being. Tribal Tech was founded in 2010 to serve Native American communities, though over the past couple of years, we have expanded our reach into the National Security and Defense sectors. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Track contract expenditures and help build invoices.
  • Provide overall meeting support for Project Manager and Project Director for the BIE BHWP contract.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control requirements and processes.
  • Provide support for storage, tracking, and finalization of developed resources, including fact sheets, work products, presentations, and Training and Technical Assistance materials.
  • Serve as support in developing and disseminating the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) agenda, COR meeting notes, and monthly and annual performance reports.
  • Develop agendas for client meetings, take notes at meetings, develop a weekly “snapshot” of activities for clients, and manage a calendar of events.
  • Serve as support for tracking information dissemination tasks and/or developing methods for tracking applicable work products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Extreme proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint is highly desired.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of web communications, webinar platforms, and social media preferred.
  • Ability to create effective messaging and direct contributions from multiple sources.
  • Must be self-directed and highly motivated.
  • Strong ability to anticipate needs/problems and act accordingly.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to favorably complete a background investigation.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment/decision-making skills and to take initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
Education and Experience:
  • Experience working with the Native American and Alaska Native communities highly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
