Project Manager New Business

Kline & Company is seeking a highly motivated individual for consideration as Project and Business Development Manager in the Beauty & Well being practice within our management consulting division.

Our Beauty & Well being practice focuses on proprietary projects in market assessment & opportunity identification, market sizing, entry, analysis of distribution channels, due diligence and acquisition screening, identification of unmet needs, competitor analysis, as well as customer perception, retention, and satisfaction. This position will report to the Vice President of Beauty & Wellness, Kline Management Consulting.

Job Requirements:

• Guide research process and deliverables of proprietary projects
• Collaborate with practice leadership to develop/refine the scope of studies, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables
• Present project findings to client
• Maintain and develop client relationships
• Guide the project team to conduct analysis, develop appraisal and recommendations, and prepare presentations and all supporting documentation
• Manage efforts of the individuals conducting research and developing final deliverables (PowerPoint reports, Excel workbooks)
• Contact customers to initiate discussion on their current projects, their current needs
• Assist with practice development and business development efforts
• Assist with business development meetings and presentations
• Identify enhancements to project deliverables and work processes
• Serve as a key client liaison throughout the duration of assignment
• Occasionally conduct select primary interviews to obtain critical insights and information
• Assure content and quality of the studies
• Develop and mentor the practice’s junior staff
• Develop (write/review) reports for proprietary studies
• Drive staff performance to successful completion of studies

• Foreign language skills a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate in a team environment to achieve results that meet or exceed client expectations
• Analytical, strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Willingness to travel
• Good oral and written English language skills are required
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Specific experience in consulting, project management, and the Beauty & Wellness industry is strongly preferred
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in the Beauty & Wellness industry and a consulting or market research environment
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field; MBA a plus
• Experience developing, managing, and presenting project results to senior management – either internal or external
