BMO Capital Markets Corp. ("BMO") seeks Manager III-PM Business Technology Development

Duties:

Plan, architect, and design new features and identify defects within our high performance, low-latency and high bandwidth, trading software applications for electronic trading clients using Java. Direct and manage real-time Order Management System and provide technical expertise throughout the product life cycle including design, implementation, and delivery of scalable solutions. Understand Sell Side Institutional Trading workflows and provide guidance to team to build enhancements. Instill best practices of software testing within the team and lead development of automated infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to improve developer velocity and reduce manual testing. Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations, and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts. Drive code and documentation reviews to ensure team adheres to development standards. Contribute to operational efforts to ensure continual availability and high quality of Order Management System platform. Manage and train new software developers, including all aspects of career development and mentoring. Architect scalable and optimized low-latency applications and data models to make Order Management System robust. Operate in an agile environment, planning sprints and tickets, using story points and JIRA as a task manager.


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Math, or Business plus four (4) years of experience in IT or a business environment. Specific skills/other requirements – Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): four (4) years of experience with Equity Trading systems; four (4) years of experience with the FIX protocol; experience with Equites and Derivatives Sell Side Order Management System software applications; experience with design patterns, data structures and algorithms and, test-driven development; experience with high volume/low latency real time market data processing; experience with guiding junior developers on best practices of software engineering and through various development tasks; and, experience with translating technical concepts into language for audience, including software engineers, business, and technical leaders.

Compensation & Benefits:

Annual base salary: $203,064 - $225,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the BMO Financial Group's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role. This position is also eligible for a bonus plan.

The base salary and potential bonus is one component of BMO Financial Group's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans. Compensation and Benefits:

$73,200.00 - $104,550.00

The base salary represents BMO Financial Group’s hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

Base salary is one component of BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package for employees, which may include performance-based incentives, commissions or discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
