What you will do!
This is a hands-on technical sales and project management position responsible for identifying & developing commercial energy and building performance retrofit projects in NYC and the Tri-State Region in support of Aeroseal's mission to improve the energy effectiveness of the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Initial assessment & project evaluation
  • Serve as key point of contact for project decision makers & influencers throughout the engagement, supported by Aeroseal Marketing, Engineering & Construction Implementation Teams.
  • Develop relationships with building owners, design professionals and allied contractors with application for Aeroseal's air side building performance solutions
  • Establish and maintain visibility and recognition in the market as a subject matter expert in the areas of ventilation optimization and building compartmentalization.
  • Oversee Project Manager implementing project through to close out and final payment
  • Accurately determine, revise and communicate prospective project development timelines
  • Initiate and develop trusted resource relationships with potential and existing customers and market allies
  • Build and maintain a business development pipeline supporting $5,000,000 in annual production to be implemented through both substantially subcontracted and directly implemented projects.
  • Contribute to Aeroseal's Continual Improvement Process to optimize and expand Aeroseal's solution offerings
  • Contract negotiation and close, including incorporation of available project incentives, where applicable
  • Opportunity development, work scope and estimate coordination
  • Generate, develop & effectively manage lead pipeline
Experience and Qualifications You'll Need to Do It!
Requirements
  • Ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Two (2) years of experience leading and closing sales required.
  • Knowledge of commercial building construction and infrastructure mechanical systems required.
  • Valid US driver's license is required.
  • Proximity to NYC region with ability to commute daily to project sites required.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, and estimates required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook required. Experience with Salesforce, including Opportunity Management preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience with a mechanical or general construction contractor, engineering firm or market related vendor required.
  • Familiarity with regional energy, decarbonization and local building codes preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, HVAC-R technical certification, or equivalent relevant business experience required.
  • Direct experience or a demonstrated interest in building energy efficiency, decarbonization, IAQ and building performance is strongly preferred.
Location:
  • The position involves approximately 15% travel for customer meetings and industry events.
  • This position requires the candidate to be located in New York/ Metro New York, Southwest Connecticut, or Northern New Jersey.
About Aeroseal
The business was established to promote Aeroseal Duct Sealing and develop a network of providers to offer the service to residential and commercial customers. Aeroseal Duct Sealing is a patented breakthrough technology for the HVAC market that tackles ductwork leaks from the inside out.
