Project Engineer Dcs Automation

Lead Engineer for Process Automation Systems projects.

The purpose of the job is to implement DCS delivery projects, from definition to start-up through the configuration and commissioning work, ensuring that technical and quality targets are met. The project engineer’s role also includes dealing with our customers and maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Manager where necessary.
• Provide input for continual improvement of our products.
• Mentor and train other employees.
• Performs other duties typical to this position as assigned.
• Installation supervision.
• Generate reports for project development, system performance, acceptance and post-project feedback.
• System commissioning & Site Management.
• Hardware and software specification in projects.
• Application definition & engineering.
• Technical documentation in projects.
• Staging and testing.
• Engineering Partners coordination.
• Main technical interface to the customer

WORKING CONDITIONS

Works primarily in the office in Atlanta or in a site environment when commissioning.

Requirements:

• Master or Bachelor in engineering/business or equivalent acquired competence and minimum 5 year working experience as project senior engineer on matching industrial sector.
• Industrial Automation knowhow, Valmet Automation Systems & Valmet Project flow is a plus.
• Ability to function in multitasking environment independently, able to plan priorities, and willing to travel.
• Must exhibit business oriented attitude and leadership skills, have experience with team building, process improvement, conflict resolution, and motivating people.
• Maintain driver’s license
• Good public performer and negotiator, Ability to form professional relationships with customers, co-workers and international partners.
• Fluent in English & French, Spanish is a plus.
• High initiative, must be systematic and have an assertive character
• Good knowledge of processes and customers of Pulp and Paper industry.
