Title: Project Coordinator (permitting experience)
Location: Atlanta, GA area
Salary: $50,000-$75,000 (Flexible for experienced individuals)
Bonus: Year-end bonus eligible
Target Candidate: We're targeting someone with 2+ years of experience handling permits for commercial or residential land development or construction projects.
- Permitting coordinator will work to assist teams with the coordination of permitting, schedules, meetings, and information. They organize projects with the goal of getting them completed on time and within budget.
- Our growing company is seeking to hire a Permitting Coordinator who will be in charge of assisting our teams in organizing our ongoing projects. This task involves monitoring project permits, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- To be successful as a Permitting Coordinator, you will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Must be self-starting, able to multi-task, excellent logical process driven reasoning and able to interpret construction plans. A bachelor's degree in a related field of study or at least three (3) years of relevant experience in assisting Engineers, Architects or a related field is required for consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Developing project strategies.
- Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, and budgets.
- Ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Organizing, attending, and participating in team and client meetings.
- Undertaking project tasks as required.
- Providing administrative support as needed.
- Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
- Coordination with municipalities and monitoring/tracking permits for project.
- Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable to team and client.
- Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
- Updating and maintaining spreadsheets.
- Ability to be mobile (must have own transportation) and run around town as needed to pick up and deliver project documents.
- Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
