Job Description

Position Summary:


  • Supports the manufacturing production operations and obtains Quality through the achievement of “Zero Defects” practices.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Establishes a program to evaluate analytical testing, equipment, facilities, precision measurements, accuracy measurements, and performance testing.
  • Supports all organizational initiatives including Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost.
  • Compiles and writes training material and may conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material, and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Devises sampling procedures, and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Develops and implements standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields, such as chemical, computer, electrical, or mechanical.


Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:


  • Basic programming logic and Microsoft Office
  • Mechanical manufacturing methods, procedures and quality
  • Engineering knowledge
  • Time management and prioritization abilities

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering or a related field.


Experience:


  • 5+ years of quality experience in a production environment. Ideally Automotive Manufacturing.
