This position may be located in Urbandale, IA, Moline, IL, Austin, TX or Chicago, IL per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.
Your Responsibilities
As a Product Manager for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in Urbandale, IA, Moline or Chicago, IL or Austin, TX, you will:
- Monitor and manage work over multiple projects to provide a single view of department work, roadmaps, progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Work closely with the Technical Teams and Product Managers to manage Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) data product roadmaps, Sprint work, and clarify expected outcomes, and prioritize components of work.
- Create Epics/Stories across multiple workstreams to ensure the team’s “definition of done” is well defined and manage expectations by understanding when initiatives are at risk and proactively communicating with stakeholders.
- Project development schedules, formal status reporting, communications planning and management using various tools to support agile methodologies.

What Skills You Need
- Experience maintaining all relevant backlogs and sprints across multiple workstreams.
- 2 or more years of experience with Lean, Agile and flow methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and the software to manage the workloads (Jira, asana, Smartsheet etc.).
- Experience presenting and collaborating across multiple levels of leadership and business areas. Ability to concisely articulate solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders and ultimately drive results.
- Experience developing release plans and ensure product backlogs are well-groomed, prioritized, and visible to all stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile values, principles, processes including Organizing and facilitating SCRUM ceremonies.
- 2 or more years of experience in a product strategy role or requirements intake role.
- 2 or more years of experience in developing technical roadmaps, story outlines, writing user stories, refining product backlogs.
- Technology background with the communication skills to articulate technical matters to a broader audience, written and verbal.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Familiarity with data as a product and data products.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Databricks and Snowflake and BI platforms like Tableau and Power BI.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification(s).
- Understanding of data management best practices.
- Experience with digital transformation projects.
- Experience with A/B testing and product-led growth principles.
- Ability to build monitoring reports in JIRA across multiple projects and workstreams.
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Information Technology Management or a similar field
