Key to Invibio’s Trauma & Knee success has been the ability to understand and engage with the needs of medical device companies in treating patients. Our experiences in orthopaedic markets have shown the benefit of combining both technical and commercial depth in these markets allowing us to gain credibility as a solutions provider in the eyes of the customer,
- Engage more purposefully with the surgeon community,
- Differentiate ourselves from competition,
- Grow and convert selected, major applications development programs into commercial sales.
This role will provide leadership in developing a new business area within Invibio through detailed market and application understanding of clinical unmet needs in Orthopaedic devices and will define the full business proposition, biomaterial needs, data package and deliver solutions required to position Invibio in these markets with our customers.
Internally identified as a Market Development Manager (MDM) for Invibio Medical, you will be responsible for the commercial strategy outline (together with H2 program leader team) according to H2 (Horizon 2 = identification/creation of new technology to serve medical markets) program strategy. Primary target application areas for region are Trauma Plates, Nails, and Total Knees. Additional accountabilities include:
- Execute H2 program messaging to customer facing colleagues
- Clinical KOL engagement, development and execution (with support of H2 program leader, marketing, technology and legal team) within the H2 project (clinical) scope
- Point of contact for H2 inquiries to follow up & select customers
- H2 execution at existing accounts with set up and regular communication coordinated with account owner
- Support QVP development with customers
- Contract responsibility (with support of H2 program leader and legal team)
- Pipeline building and development according to H2 program strategy
- Demand planning
- H2 leads and targets
- Co-ordinate marketing and training events with OEM
- H2 pipeline with prospective customers
- Develop market, application, technology and company profile understanding
- Prepare and support development programs for BAU to handover to sales (medium term target)
The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and grow relationships, communicate and engage effectively, and influence without authority. You will be able to create strategic sales plans conveying strong business acumen, and create commercial proposals built upon technical understanding of product value propositions. Experience of B2B sales is essential along with a Technical Degree or relevant background/experience. A demonstrated knowledge and use of a consultative sales approach like IMPACT is desirable.
