Summary
In this role, you will integrate and lead the execution of various Parts for GEN IV reactors, including micro and SFRs, while managing products in various stages of their respective lifecycles. Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will set the strategic objectives and lead teams to resolve complex issues and achieve financial and contractual objectives to required timescales.Roles and Responsibilities
- Assure timely resolution of issues, keep the customer advised of the progress of the program, and negotiate changes, variations, solutions to issues.
- Manage product changes required for obsolescence resolution, reliability improvement, cost reduction or in response to customer request
- Manage relationships with customers and adherence to contractual obligations
- Monitor and drive improvement of customer satisfaction as demonstrated by customer scorecard metrics
- Lean leadership: contribute to definition and delivery of Kaizen activities for NPI
- Leadership for assigned projects/programs
- Product lifecycle management via Tollgate process
- Support bids and proposals for sales opportunities and negotiations
- Demand Management via SIOP process
- Identify, escalate, and resolve issues which impact customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and/or OTD
- Risk and opportunity management
- Own the multi-year product roadmap and continuously order and prioritize to ensure effective product development
- Drive product management maturity across the organization and standard work/processes
- Understand and support a product’s full lifecycle, from ideation through decommissioning based on current stage in the lifecycle
- Drive outcomes for the business and users that align with top business priorities and targets
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in engineering or science field. Mandatory minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, product development and/or technical environment. Position will be posted at the LPB level.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with customers.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the year
DESIRED:
- Excellent oral and written communication and negotiating skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Drive and commitment with ability to work under minimum supervision
- 2 or more years of experience with advanced reactor technology systems.
- Nuclear Plant Operations experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large, matrixed team with multiple demands and priorities.
- Advanced degree.
- Demonstrated business knowledge with cross-functional awareness.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Open communication style and proven ability to develop team relationships, including global teams.
- Current or ability to obtain DOE L or DOD Secret Clearance
- Demonstrated ability to establish a vision and direction for a new organization.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management programs in the development, go-to-market, and end-of-life phases
- Extensive technical knowledge of at least one of the technical fields within the organization.
- Experience on US government funded projects
The salary range for this position is $101.3K-$135K. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
