The Regional Parts Manager is responsible for ensuring all supply chain-related activities within their coverage area are working efficiently and as-intended. This includes fast and predictable parts flow from distribution centers as well as accurate parts orders and high inventory accuracy from the field

What You’ll Do

  • Regional leader for a team of 5-15 Parts Advisors at 5-10 locations in their region
  • Be a trusted partner for Service Managers, General and Regional Service Leaders
  • Driving the implementation of new initiatives and ensuring the team constantly works towards achieving the standards agreed with management and business partners
  • Be a liaison to IT/Material/Demand/Channel Planning for troubleshooting issues and in providing field feedback, including for systems and workflow improvements
  • Oversee the sharing system and fulfillment of parts within the region
  • Tactical response person for situations where a PA/Location is temporarily challenged
  • Evaluating PA job performance and general behavior, and coaching PAs towards personal and professional development, identifying talent for promotions
  • Perform periodic evaluations, suggest recommendations, and follow up on all topics related to the Parts Excellence Program
  • First level of escalation for problems that impede the PAs to achieve the overarching goal of serving the Service Organization on a day-to-day basis
  • Monitor trends related to workshop load and fulfillment performance within the region
  • Role of system training provider and information multiplicator in their own region

What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including ability to express well-reasoned, independent thought. Natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels.
  • A fast learner and critical thinker who can quickly evaluate the impact of escalations and prioritize efficiently
  • Ideally 5 years of work experience in the automotive service sector (any other related and relevant experiences will be considered towards this requirement)
  • A true team player that can put the needs of their team above any personal priorities
  • Resilient individual with a positive and energic attitude towards improvements
  • Desire to be successful by both contributing individually to daily operations, and by influencing and supporting others
  • Hands-on experience developing and/or delivering training materials.
  • A people’s person that builds strong relationships, communicates efficiently, seeks and offers constructive feedback for self-improvement and to elevate others
  • Demonstrates a solid level of technical knowledge (can be previously acquired both through formal training, and on-the-job experiences)
  • Ideally 2 years with Tesla in Service Parts or Supply Chain (or external experience as Parts Shop Manager or Supply Chain Manager; preferably with people management)
  • Strong multitasking project skills with the ability to adapt to change in scope, timeline, or focus without sacrificing execution
  • Demonstrates proficiency with computer programs and Tesla-internal applications (advanced Excel spreadsheets, supply-chain related databases, Jira ticketing system)
  • Demonstrated ability to be a resilient change agent capable of leading organization through paradigm shifts.
  • Flexible to travel up to 5 days per week within own region, and up to twice a month to locations outside of the Region (other regions, territorial central location, HQ Fremont)
