I am seeking a Preconstruction Lead to join their team in Dallas, TX to help them continue to drive success and growth.

Job Summary:

The Preconstruction Lead will be responsible for leading preconstruction efforts for data center projects, including design management, estimating, value engineering, and constructability analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute preconstruction strategies that align with project goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, and ensure that they are aligned with project goals and objectives
• Lead value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or functionality
• Manage and mentor junior preconstruction staff, including estimators, designers, and engineers
• Participate in proposal development and presentation, and provide technical input and support as needed
• Manage and coordinate design and engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of design documents
• Lead preconstruction efforts for data center projects, including design management, estimating, value engineering, and constructability analysis
• Conduct constructability analysis and identify potential construction issues, conflicts, and problems in advance
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and best practices, and apply them to project execution

Requirements:

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire preconstruction teams to achieve project goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications, and knowledge of building codes and standards
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve preconstruction issues in a timely and effective manner
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, with a focus on data center infrastructure and systems
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in preconstruction management, preferably in the data center or mission-critical facility industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preconstruction management software

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in an office environment, with occasional site visits
