Job Description

Project Manager Wichita, KS (hybrid/remote) Contract Pay is Dependent on Experience Our large industrial client is currently looking for a Project Manager contractor for a chip manufacturing facility in the Wichita, KS area. The project is expected the last two years.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule labor in accordance with specified project schedule, including subcontractors as needed
  • Lead activities for multiple projects to ensure project goals are met; including schedule, budget, specifications, and safety
  • Prepare project plans and communication with client, field superintendents, and estimators
  • Responsible for the timely procurement and delivery of tools, equipment, and materials
  • Maintain constant client and field leadership communication from kick-off to project completion
  • Assess project requirements, implement processes and analyze project performance
  • Effectively communicate project deliverable and scope change concerns to company leadership
  • Effectively track project-related expenses and overall budget
  • Coach, mentor, and train team members as project experience level requires
  • Prepare and manage communication cadence for assigned projects


Experience Requirements:


  • Competent with reviewing construction documents and plans
  • Expert knowledge of heavy industrial construction industry and commercial management
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize
  • 2+ years related job experience working in Construction Bidding or direct Mechanical, Civil or Electrical construction industry
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant Project Management experience
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Adaptable to fast-paced work environment
  • Possess excellent computer skills, including the ability to become fluent in project management and scheduling software
  • Possess high level mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Physical and Travel Requirements:


  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Job may require lifting time to time up to 30 pounds
  • Up to 50% travel required or as needed to support field projects
  • May be required to climb stairs and evaluate work in elevated areas
