What you will do?
We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented and creative storyteller to join the team as a PR & Events Manager. This role will provide communications support for the company including executive communications, brand and marketing communications and internal communications as well as event support for influencer, press and internal events. This individual will work with key business and functional leaders to develop and execute messaging, communications strategies, and be the liaison between external event/PR agencies and the internal team. In addition, this individual will identify and create communications materials including press pitches, releases and talking points for executives, as well as building and maintaining key relationships with media.
As a PR & Events Manager, you will have the opportunity to learn the inner functions of 360 marketing and get hands on experience across channels from PR to social, influencer/celebrity, retail and more. The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter with an interest in wellness and pop culture.
Responsibilities
- Execute buzzy, branded events across influencer, press and consumer verticals.
- Identify and build communications materials including press pitches, press releases, talking points, and speeches/presentations for executives.
- Manage events agencies and vendors, ensuring poppi branding and guest experience meets brand guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key media in business, lifestyle, beverage and pop culture outlets.
- Manage the external PR agency, ensuring constant flow of information on a timely basis.
- Develop and own the overall communication strategy and plan for the company, including leadership communications, product press, support for marketing and social initiatives and internal communication to key stakeholders and employees.
- Drive senior leadership visibility by identifying, securing and executing strategic media engagements.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leadership team to enhance communication and presentation effectiveness.

- Ability to work in fast paced, start-up environment, wearing multiple hats
- Proactive, self-starter and highly resourceful, capable of figuring it out
Your Background
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Liberal Arts preferred
- 3-5 years experience working in a communications/marketing role
