Position Overview
- The Portfolio Director is accountable for their assigned program portfolio's overall discovery, development, delivery, and impact. This position leads a multidisciplinary team that solves quality improvement challenges for healthcare and public safety organizations by anticipating their needs and removing challenges with RQI programs and services.
- The Portfolio Director builds upon the success of the existing mission and business models with new and current customers. The overall emphasis of this position is to expand our lifesaving impact in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- The Portfolio Director leads a passionate team focused on enabling, empowering, and validating that healthcare and public safety professionals and organizations are doing the right thing, at the right time, in the right way, for the right person—with the best possible results.
Position Holder is Accountable For:
- Business Effectiveness - Accountable for program implementation with the field organization and achieving the business objectives (sales and adoption) for the portfolio of programs.
- Service Development and Management – Organizes rapid discovery and service initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the correct prioritization, development, and delivery of QI programs.
- Go to Market Strategies – Partners with marketing to implement value propositions, marketing campaigns, demand generation strategies, and sales enablement that results in customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.
- Inclusive and Accessible Design and Compliance - Ensures that QI services are utilizing best practices, having achieved, or exceeded compliance with accessibility requirements
- Simulation to Practice – Implementation of solutions that connect simulation and real-world clinical event data to enable healthcare providers to provide tailored care based on the needs of individual patients.
- Program and Product Development User Specifications - ensures delivery and translation of user specifications for products, programs, and services into the design and technical requirements.
- Mission, Business, and Sustainability Impact – Accountable for achieving organizational goals and mission impact, business results (OKRs), and sustainability efforts.
- Prepared Organization - accountable for verifying the competence of the field organization's ability to achieve all requirements necessary to position, sell, implement, and support service lines.
- Adoption and Implementation - accountable for achieving the organization, subscriber, or subscription adoption requirements for the RQI portfolio of programs and services defined in each business case.
- Consumer and Market Intelligence - Utilizes market research, analyzing and evaluating key market statistics, customer requirements, and competitive trends to help define market needs for quality improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Works closely with colleagues from the platform, program, product, and operational teams to deliver the total value of our collective portfolio.
- Quality Improvement Strategic Initiatives – Develops and implements strategic plans for quality improvement services in coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including Laerdal, AHA, RQI Partners, and other partner organizations.
- Connected Ecosystem – Facilitates the creation of a connected ecosystem of healthcare providers and healthcare organizations by sharing best practices through enabling technologies.
- Leadership & Team Management: Leadership and effective coordination of a team of professionals to deliver all outcomes required for organizational goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Significant experience working in cross-functional teams, including with senior leaders within an organization.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Masters preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree for otherwise highly qualified candidates.
- 10 years of healthcare related and or hospital marketing experience is required.
- 10 years of experience in a combination of sales, product management, and or marketing
- Required Skills and Competencies
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects and initiatives.
- Extensive experience successfully building and leading high-performing teams.
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $115,000 to $120,000. Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc..
