Plant Manager- Building Materials

The role of Plant Manager encompasses comprehensive leadership in overseeing plant operations. This entails fostering a safe working environment and driving continuous improvement across plant processes and protocols, with a primary focus on upholding safety and quality standards. The incumbent will be responsible for gauging and reporting safety and quality outcomes. Additionally, the Plant Manager will ensure that the plant maintains cost effective operations within customer product specifications and quality guidelines.

An essential aspect of this position involves championing a secure working atmosphere by adhering to organizational policies, protocols, and OSHA regulations. The Plant Manager's responsibilities extend to maintaining strict confidentiality of customer, employee, and company information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and safe workplace that is inspection ready at all times
• Ensure adherence to rules and workplace policies to allow for excellent customer service
• Examine processes and design plans to effectively use available resources as efficiently as possible
• Analyse production costs and inventory to establish areas for improvements
• Oversee plant operations such as budget, production schedule and stock
• Successfully recruit, train, supervise and retain both operations and product staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as plant manager in same/similar industry or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Proven track record of developing, leading and maintaining a continuous improvement mindset at the plant
• Bachelor's degree in relevant
• Previous experience managing over 20 people
