About the role
As a Partner Recruiting Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of lateral partner and counsel recruitment for the firm’s US offices. Utilizing your experience and understanding of the recruitment market to contribute to the planning and implementation of strategic objectives and priorities for the recruitment of lateral partners and counsel in the US. Other key responsibilities include:


  • Ensuring the strategic rationale for each US lateral partner and counsel candidate is communicated effectively to all interviewers and relevant members of leadership throughout the process
  • Driving and overseeing the Managers’ execution of the lateral partner and counsel recruiting process for the firm’s US offices, providing high level supervision and direction in relation to the process, as well as acting as a senior point of escalation for any issues which arise
  • Demonstrating a clear grasp of the deliverables in relation to the pipeline of candidates across the US and working proactively to drive matters forward to a successful outcome
  • Working closely with the Director of Partner Recruiting, ExComm, IPAC, OMPs, GDCs, PGCs and practice and office administrative leadership to support and refine the firm’s priorities and goals for expanding the partnership through lateral partner and counsel hiring in the firm’s US offices
  • Leading and managing the US Partner Recruiting Managers (the “Managers”), providing them with guidance and supporting their growth and development to ensure consistently excellent performance

About you
We’d love to hear from you if you:


  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of legal employment issues and US partner recruiting markets
  • Possess the track record of strong leadership ability, including the ability to lead, motivate and manage experienced individuals
  • Exhibit strong project management skills to lead and structure thinking and work, ability to multitask

And have:


  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with an MBA, JD or Master’s Degree preferred
  • A minimum of ten years partner recruiting experience, with at least five years in a management role

Compensation & Benefits
Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also receive a generous and competitive total compensation package. The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $225,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
