Job Title: Packaging Designer – Home Textiles – Fully Remote

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Packaging Designer to join our team in the home textiles industry. As a Packaging Designer, you will be responsible for developing innovative packaging designs that effectively communicate the brand identity and enhance the presentation of our home textile products. From fun and festive holiday and novelty packaging to cheerful and classic home branding. Your expertise in graphic design, product packaging, and consumer trends, specifically in the holiday and novelty market, will take our packaging designs to the next level. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with textile designers to create artwork and graphics that effectively communicate product features, benefits, and brand messaging on packaging materials.
• Create and present packaging concepts, prototypes, and mock-ups to internal team and customers, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, product positioning, and target market.
• Design and develop visually appealing and functional packaging solutions for a wide range of home textile products, including throws, blankets, bedding, decorative pillows and holiday.
• Conduct research on industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor analysis to inform packaging design decisions.
• Design tile cards, belly bands and hang tags for seasonal holiday throws and blankets.
• Stay updated on emerging packaging design trends, sustainability practices, and technological advancements to drive innovation in packaging solutions.
• Develop die-lines and production-ready files for packaging materials, considering printing techniques, materials, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to understand product specifications and packaging requirements.
• Maintain organized files and documentation of packaging designs, specifications, and production records.

Qualifications:

• Ability to interpret and translate brand guidelines and product specifications into innovative packaging designs.
• Effective communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent visual and conceptual design skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proven experience as a Packaging Designer, preferably 3-6 years in the home textiles industry or related field.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of packaging design principles, materials, printing techniques, and production processes.
• Knowledge of current design trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics in the home textiles industry.
• A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of packaging design projects, demonstrating creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
