Four-year degree in design, fine art or related degree or equivalent work experience

What You'll Do As a Graphic/Packaging Designer:

• Design and develop new and innovative packaging, catalogs, logos, trade show signage, and POP displays.

3+ years of corrugated packaging experience preferred

2+ years of Packaging Design experience

Previous experience within the licensing industry

Design packaging from concept through execution to production

Working with licensing brands to ensure designs are aligned with brand guidelines

Work closing with the sales, licensing, and product development teams to ensure proper guidelines are being met

Work closely with the entire packaging team to review packaging communication from the factory about the development of your designs

Manage production runs, color evaluations, tracking and controlling of all packaging related artwork to ensure accurate execution at production

Actively participate in all meetings, substituting for Director when necessary with decision-making responsibilities

Attend outside design seminars and conferences to further expand knowledge in creative arena

2+ years of direct Design/Development experience preferred

Experience on luxury brands necessary

Reports to the Design Director on all facets of design, inclusive of packaging, related collateral materials and 2D projects

Work with vendors on new concepts and follow through with detail on graphics required, box/acetate required, sizing requirements, and pricing.

At least 5 years of experience in an agency or creative in-house

Must have Alcohol Beverage Packaging experience

Must have experience designing packaging for wine, spirits, and RTD beverages

Adobe Creative Suite Programs specifically Illustrator and Photoshop

Ability to understand master brands and design packaging extensions and sub-brands

Create outstanding original packaging design concepts for wine, beer & spirits

Must have strong, creative problem-solving skills as well as strong interpersonal, communication & project management skills.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, merchandising, & product management to create outstanding copy & graphics.

Create packing instructions for the factories & communicate requirements as needed.

Advanced experience creating dielines with measurements, quality, etc. for factory use

Graphic Design & Package Design experience including creating prototypes.

Have a thorough knowledge of the technical design of the product (specs, layout, construction)

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

Knowledge of various packaging and material handling systems

Experience with 3D point Cloud data is a plus

Outlook & Excel Skills are required
