What You'll Do As a Graphic/Packaging Designer:

• Design and develop new and innovative packaging, catalogs, logos, trade show signage, and POP displays.

4+ years minimum experience in a design production environment

A Successful Candidate Will Have The Following Experience...

Designing week over week asset packages based on a template system for a high visibility music event

Adjusting templates and staying on top of program updates and shifts

Optimizing digital images for download efficiency

Fulfilling multiple project requests while simultaneously meeting tight deadlines

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

3+ years of corrugated packaging experience preferred

Create manufacturing layouts for Business Unit corrugated packaging production

Develop prototypes for review by customers both internally and externally

Add value and insight to packaging projects

Preferred experience and knowledge on UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines

Ensure that all plant assets in area of responsibility are properly managed and safeguarded.

Manages inventory in area of responsibility, ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with operational policy, and participates in month end inventory.

Manages finished goods packaging as required.

Minimum of two years of experience as production supervisor or equivalent

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Evaluates the feasibility of design ideas and develop packaging solutions that highlight product features and benefits.

Packaging construction knowledge and ability to develop and adjust deadlines and production technical packages.

Fluency in Adobe Creative suite, focusing mainly on Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom. InDesign knowledge is a plus.

Photoshop skills -to create product lifestyle images, and ability to manipulate product photography for new finishes, colors, or sizes, as needed.

BA/BFA Degree in Graphic Design or Related Field with 2-3 years of Design Experience

Develops packaging design and production files for a wide variety of housewares and wall décor items in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

2+ years relevant experience in packaging/graphic design

Previous experience or interest in outdoor recreation is a plus!

Design packaging for various products using provided assets

Update packaging design, including adding new fonts and backgrounds, the companys logo, and other product features to the 2D layout

Update and make necessary revisions based on client feedback

Assist in other design projects as needed

Experience with DAMs, project management software, printing

Strong analytical, time management, and multitasking skills

Create, manage, and organize product documentation with our cloud-based digital asset management system

Strong grammatical knowledge and experience with trademark and copyright usage

Proven work experience in production, graphic design, or similar

In-depth knowledge of Adobe CC, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

Design and edit marketing collateral, packaging materials, digital assets, and other visual materials for the company's product lines.

Superior knowledge and skills with Figma and Adobe Creative; experience with Principle preferred

Takes ownership and initiative to identify gaps in current assets and offers recommendations for new content.

Ensures visual designs adhere to project requirements, objectives, and timelines upholding brand standards across all projects.

1-3 years design experience within the luxury/lifestyle space

Conceptual thinking and strong hands-on design skills

Knowledge of video editing and motion graphics a plus

Presents designs to project team and Senior Management to communicate vision and implementation of elements.

Confidence to communicate across all lines of business, with all levels of management.

General Knowledge and Skills Required:

Design packaging from concept through execution to production

Working with licensing brands to ensure designs are aligned with brand guidelines

Work closing with the sales, licensing, and product development teams to ensure proper guidelines are being met

Work closely with the entire packaging team to review packaging communication from the factory about the development of your designs

Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Work with vendors on new concepts and follow through with detail on graphics required, box/acetate required, sizing requirements, and pricing.

Assist with other related tasks and responsibilities as required/assigned.

Review and manage a large volume of email.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to work well with others in a fast paced environment.

Requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to convey concepts with quick sketches and creative 2D problem solving skills

4-7+ years of relevant experience. In beauty or fashion is a plus!

Strong Graphic Designer with an exquisite taste level & experience in Packaging Design.

Strong Typography Skills. Hand lettering a plus.

Knowledge in various packaging types, materials & production methods.

Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate design and vision.

Design and develop packaging from concept to production.

Experience and knowledge of creative processes and best practices.

Maintain an understanding of industry trends and apply that knowledge to design assignments and in field art direction.

Assist Manager of Costumes with Design intent and costume design packets.

3+ years of professional creative work experience preferred.

Solid hand and computer drawing and drafting skills (Adobe Photo Shop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch up, AutoCAD).

Works with the Production Designers and Art Directors developing concepts via sketches, storyboards, and photo studies to communicate preliminary design ideas.

Education, Work Experience, And Professional Certifications

Understanding of the products to manage the product definition documents

Knowledge of consumer-packaged goods and/or consumables. Understanding of current landscape

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills suited to dealing positively with internal and external business contacts.

Experience project, planning, organizing, managing to completion against deadlines.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to attend to multiple concurrent tasks

Partner with Designers and Project Managers to create assets for channels including Digital, Social, Product Marketing, and CRM.

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Figma experience is a plus.

Work in the automation tool daily to develop and maintain templates that are implemented in our client's daily workflow.

Collaborate with overseas and domestic 3rd party vendors to enforce quality assurance on all outsourced digital assets.

Apply retouching skills to enhance visual elements.

Manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.

Organizational skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of packaging design, printing, materials, and structure.

3-5 years of Production Design experience including retouches.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
