A $100 million not for profit seeks a Grant Analyst to join their fast growing finance team. The Grant Analyst is responsible for analyzing the financial activity of multiple federal, state and city grants to ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance is followed. The candidate will monitor the daily financial performance of the post award grants and contracts to ensure compliance with policies. The goal of the Grant Analyst is to become a finance business partner with each principal investor. This position requires strong experience working with large sets of data and creating templates to track the activity of the grants and expenditures of the programs. Job Responsibilities:

• Perform variance analysis budget vs actual and develop commentaries to explain material differences
• Work directly with federal agencies related to audits
• Review and monitor subcontracts related to special projects throughout the institution
• Develop and calculate performance reports related to grants as well as programs
• Assist in the indirect cost rate calculation
• Develop financial forecasts and overviews designed to monitor expenditures for multiple federal programs
• Work with principal investors and staff to ensure the accuracy of financial forecasts
• Assist in the preparation of the budgets
• Track cash forecasts and provide reports to senior management

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of non-profit financial statement preparation and reporting strongly desired
• Proficiency with MSOffice, strong user with Excel
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate financial information to all levels
• 2+ years’ experience in a grant management capacity, pre and post award experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree within Accounting/Finance
