What you will be doing

The National Replenishment Manager is responsible for leading a team of senior buyers and buyers that are keenly focused on the efficient buying of products from their assigned suppliers. The National Replenishment Manager leads the team through planning and inventory management activities to ensure achievement of all team, distribution center, and company profit objectives. Through collaboration with Replenishment Category Directors (RCDs) and Replenishment Category Managers (RCMs) who serve as supplier leads, the National Replenishment Manager facilitates regular collaborative planning sessions, ensures that supplier specific goals and objectives are met, and executes against key replenishment strategies as assigned. As a key member of the national replenishment team, the National Replenishment Manager commits to delivering a high standard of professional integrity.


The position will hybrid and will be based in Boise, Idaho, Pleasanton, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Plano, TX or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).


Main responsibilities

  • Visit stores, as needed, to monitor programs, obtain store feedback and assess overall effectiveness as needed.
  • Together with RCD and RCM team, define and provide overall National supplier group goal setting and direction based on key performance indicators.
  • Interface with other National Replenishment Managers, division personnel, Merchandising teams, warehousing, transportation, and demand planning team to accomplish job functions.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with team members, internal business partners, and assigned supplier partners. Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to achieve objectives.
  • Review and analyze operating reports with replenishment team and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with division personnel and facilitate beneficial communication related to products and promotional activity to replenishment team and distribution center operations.
  • Monitor National supplier group results compared to projections, identify solutions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and define best practices for buying team with support from National Replenishment leadership team.
  • Remote access (buying system) from home or off-site location when necessary.
  • Participate in developing and managing Distribution P&L by providing analyses on relevant replenishment data.
  • Train and mentor new National buying team members. Responsible for evaluating team members’ performance.
  • Identify, attract, and retain diverse and inclusive team members; build a high-performing team; embraces diversity in all its forms; and actively supports diversity goal programs.
  • Collaborate with and provide insights to RCD/RCMs who are supplier captains to establish supplier specific goals for performance, leverage data driven scorecards to monitor performance. Deliver on performance targets for assigned supplier group.
  • Ensure the established sales plan is understood and executed by the buying team.
  • Adopt a holistic perspective that considers data, analytics, customer insights, and different parts of the business when making plans and shaping the team’s direction.
  • Work with assigned suppliers to obtain their feedback on the National replenishment program.
  • Communicates with energy and positivity to motivate, influence, and inspire commitment and action.
  • Deliver expected business results while putting the customer first.
  • Seek and implement continuous improvements and encourage team to leverage new digital tools and ways of working.
  • Attend key meetings to maintain awareness of programs and issues providing relevant National replenishment information in support of fundamental and strategic programs.

The salary range is $95,000 to $123,900.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked). PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).
