What You Will Learn


Responsible for levering in-depth category analysis and retailer/market data and insights to optimize marketing mix/assortment and to uncover portfolio growth opportunities for our retailers and distributors. This role manages and focuses on growing multiple brands within a category focus and team development and synergies. Lead and develop ways to analyze point of sales data, meet with internal customers/retailers-clients/distributors, and review merchandising strategies aiming to support an elevated look of success at trade.


  • Direct supervision of Category Analysts and oversee the coordination of 3rd Party resources to cover cosmetic seasonal implementations and personal care categories.
  • Manage short- and mid-term strategy needs of the product/brand portfolio aligned with Brand Management.
  • Directly support recommendations on innovation pipeline aiming to improve new products forecast accuracy. This applies for Brand Management and Demand Planning on product mix analysis when needed.
  • Direct contributor to our sustainability journey (reduce-reuse-recycle) and L’Oreal for the Future initiatives that support an elevated cosmetic fixture approach plans by top retailers and top brands.
  • Contribute to category/brand selling stories and insights into action leveraging the Advisory Role with Key Customers and customer’s category discussion.
  • Identify growth opportunities by region and along with the Business Development Managers. This is a direct input for the annual CAPEX projections by brand.
  • Constant collaboration to support commercial planning, specially managing the Cosmetic Wall Universe and potential growth plans.
  • Manage and develop people or teams; work transversal with other functional teams (Commercial, Marketing and Logistics) across LDB and CPD.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving distribution level and space at shelf along with the Commercial Team working collaboratively and transversal.
  • Champion scorecard for planogram execution and performance KPIs (space to sales, distribution level, merchandising, days on hand, A/S/W metrics for SKU productivity).


Required Qualifications


What We Are Looking For:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) with excellent knowledge of Excel, Analyzer and business applications
  • Minimum five plus years of experience in category management, marketing, or sales or related position. Beauty and Personal Care category knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Market Research: Ability to interpret research data and draw application conclusions
  • Leadership: Demonstration of leadership with team, support departments and customers, and fosters collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is required or related disciplines.
  • Financial knowledge – i.e. P&L and COG management.

  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Communicates clearly and concisely in English / Spanish orally and written.
  • Attention to detail and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Confident with decision making and project management.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Certified Professional Category Manager (CPCM) and Certified Professional Strategic Advisor are preferred.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and interpersonal skills.
