About the Opportunity Driscoll’s berries are made available to Consumers through active partnerships with our Customers in different Sales Channels. Multi- Channel Sales has been identified as a growth area within DOTA (Driscoll’s of the Americas) and the sales manager will play an exciting role in managing the sales growth of this business. The Multi-Channel Sales Manager is a unique role from other channels and will be responsible for customers across the retail grocery, wholesale and foodservice distribution segments which includes the sales planning and execution. This role has the exciting opportunity to co-lead short and mid-range sales planning, alignment and execution focused on selected customers. This role ensures that the success of our Customers and Driscoll’s are planned, aligned and achieved through thoughtful short and mid-range supply and demand planning and execution.
Responsibilities
The core of the responsibility lies in the short and mid-range sales execution through their team. Sales execution is achieved through a high level of cross-functional collaboration with Customer Development, Supply Chain, Demand Management, Marketing, Product Business Management and other sales channels and teams. Through working with these teams, solid sales plans are executed in line with short and mid-range sales goals, our berry strategies, as well as our go to market strategies. These short and mid-range plans are brought into execution through the guidance and leadership of the Multi-Channel Sales Group Director with their assigned team. This role will ensure these metrics are analyzed, reported and performed against within the Multi-Channel in order to achieve Driscoll’s sales goas and objectives.

Leadership

  • Provides leadership of the day-to-day operations of the Multi-Channel Sales Team, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals and customer objectives
  • Demonstrates an insurgent attitude, resourcefulness and perseverance necessary to drive results in a growing channel
  • Ensures confidentiality of all Driscoll’s proprietary information
  • Promotes and supports the development of flexible, adaptive and innovative processes to increase Customer Service and optimize our efficiencies
Sales Planning & Execution
  • Work with the account’s receivables partner to measure and manage payment of customer invoices within the stated 21-day company policy for payment of (FOB) fresh on-board invoices
  • Reports on channel sales performance through monthly email updates and weekly performance meetings
  • Ensures our Customers have a great experience when working with Driscoll’s resulting in industry leading Customer satisfaction. The Canada channel measures this through our customer trade survey and strives to achieve 95% customer satisfaction of satisfied or fully satisfied
  • Partners with the Demand Management team to review and provide feedback on the aligning the 0-13-week supply and demand plan and channel sales targets
  • May be responsible for day to day sales execution for a small number of accounts
  • Measures sales performance through established data tools and partners with market insights to develop new tools as necessary
  • Responsible to operate within the guidelines of the department budget
  • Responsible for all daily sales activities and the execution of the thirteen-week demand plan of the Canada channel
  • Responsible for ensuring customer sales planning documents are up to date and shared weekly
Communication
  • Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large
  • Develops and sustains a sales culture of service & Customer value creation
  • Ensures proactive and effective collaboration and communication with Product Business Management, Customer Development, Sales Demand Management, Supply Chain, Distribution and Service Groups and all other departments for greater efficiencies and attainment of Driscoll’s short-range execution goals and overall strategic plan
  • Domestic and international travel required to further develop an understanding of the marketplace, develop customer relationships, and to develop the knowledge base necessary to execute against the DOTA sales strategy
  • Recruit, onboard, and coach staff to ensure robust learning and career development consistent with the Company’s values and rapidly globalizing profile

  • Compensation & Benefits
    The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.
    Salary Range estimated for the Multi-Channel Sales Manager: $90,200 to $133,000 USD.
