The Medical Office Assistant Supervisor coordinates and supervises the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of day-to-day clinical primary care services.
Primary Responsibilities
· Ensure adequate medical office assistant (“MOA”) staff compliments to meet service needs and supervise MOA staff in the daily delivery of services.
· Coordinate staff schedules and manage planned and unplanned absences.
· Assist and participate in the recruitment and hiring of staff.
· Lead the orientation and training of new staff.
· Identify areas of professional development for staff.
· Create and document an MOA orientation and training plan.
· Provide back up support for the MOA team, to include all functions of an MOA.
· Responsible for telephony management.
· Coordinate the inventory, ordering, and supply stock maintenance of physician office medical supplies.
Qualifications
· one to two years healthcare administration experience. This includes supervision, organizational development, performance evaluation, conflict resolution, and problem solving.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative.
· Experience in human resource planning and management and the development of policies and procedures.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
· Experience in the use of computers, various software applications and EMR systems.
This is a 12-month leave replacement position working up to 32 hours per week.
