Technical Project Manager and Service Delivery Manager - MSP

We are seeking a highly skilled and operationally focused “IT Project Manager” to lead the transition from a current Managed Service Provider (MSP) to a new Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP). The ideal candidate will have prior experience leading similar transitions, a strong IT operations background, and the ability to provide hands-on support for users. This role involves managing the implementation of a fully managed cloud solution, including Security Operations Center (SOC) and Network Operations Center (NOC) capabilities, and Value-Added Reseller (VAR) capabilities. The IT Project Manager will also oversee the change and rollout process for users.

IT Project Manager Key Responsibilities:

• · Manage MSP Transition: Oversee the end-to-end transition from current MSP to a new MSSP. This includes coordinating with vendors, internal IT teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
• · Cloud Solution Implementation: Implement a fully managed cloud solution, including SOC and NOC. This will involve working closely with the cloud services provider and internal IT team.
• · User Support and Training: Provide hands-on support for users during the transition period. This includes managing the rollout of new systems and processes and training users on how to use them effectively.
• · VAR Capabilities: Ensure the provision of VAR capabilities as part of the transition. This may involve liaising with multiple suppliers and partners and integrating their solutions into the existing tech stack.
• · Change Management: Develop and execute a change management plan to ensure smooth adoption of the new MSP/MSSP. This includes communicating changes to all stakeholders, addressing potential resistance, and ensuring business continuity during the transition.
• · Tech Stack Change Management: Lead the shift in technology stack as part of the transition to the new MSP/MSSP. This will require a deep understanding of the organization's IT needs and the ability to manage the introduction of new technologies.

IT Project Manager Requirements:

• · Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• · Strong technical background, ideally in IT operations.
• · Some travel is needed.
• · Ability to provide hands-on user support and training.
• · Experience in dealing with VAR capabilities.
• · Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• · Proven experience as a Project Manager in IT operational roles, preferably with experience managing an MSP to MSSP transition.
• · PMP or relevant certification would be considered an advantage.
• · Experience in implementing fully managed cloud solutions, including SOC and NOC.
• · Strong knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
