Job Overview

The Coordinator of Collaborative Communities will support the advancement of key strategic priorities and assist the department in the development, implementation and evaluation of key programs including the District's Mentoring Program and family engagement initiatives. Key functions include collaborating with the Director of Collaborative Communities to scale and track District mentoring efforts across campuses, develop strategic frameworks and processes for data measurement, assist with partnership tracking and foster partnerships in accordance with the District's partnership procedures. The incumbent will ensure effective development, communication, and implementation of programs in alignment with Department goals and objectives in order to advance the District's Mission and Vision.

Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

District Mentoring Program

• Collaborate with Campus Mentor Liaisons, campus leadership and community partners to provide ongoing support, site visits and follow-up to aid in meeting key department goals and metrics.
• Assist in the development and expansion of the District Mentoring Program by recruiting mentors,developing and providing mentor training, tracking and evaluating key metrics to ensure successful outcomes.
• Assist in the development of data measurement tools to provide ongoing tracking and maintenance of District Mentoring Program and key department initiatives.

Family Engagement

• Support the Directors of Department of Collaborative Communities and the Department of Accountability, Assessment and Compliance to monitor, evaluate, plan and coordinate support of Title I family engagement efforts.
• Assist in development of family engagement curriculum, written reports, presentations and key materials
• Provide ongoing tracking and maintenance of family engagement efforts across the District.

Administrative & Program Management

• Promote a positive image of the District and maintain a positive working relationship with parents and the community
• Network and participate in the community to build rapport, cultivate a spirit of reciprocity, and enhance the FBISD organizational brand, position, and reputation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist department leadership to plan, facilitate and streamline community engagement opportunities to aid in coalition-building both internally and externally.
• Assist in the process of recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring of staff.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in community and family engagement
• Strong editing, data management, administrative, organizational and computer skills
• Minimum of 5 years experience within a public education environment preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both orally and in writing, including drafting reports, developing presentations, and formal oral and/or training presentations required.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and execute projects
• Bachelor's degree in business, public relations, education, communications, or other related field
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and community engagement required.
• Minimum of 1 year Leadership experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience in developing programs for students
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and be agile to changes in District or departmental priorities

May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.

Additional Information

• This position may require travel to various campuses, district meeting sites and to conferences/meetings in and out of state. This position may require the employee to work some evenings and weekends.
