Job Description

Job Title: Manager: Downhill Duke's

Job Status: Year Round 11 Months


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Benefits: This position is eligible to enroll in company subsidized medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, HSA, life/disability options; season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
  • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,115.38 to $2,276.92+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. May be eligible for a discretionary bonus annually.

Job Summary:

  • Completes all training, leading, cash handling, scheduling...etc.
  • Maintains and administers any necessary systems or policies.
  • A professional requiring only general direction to achieve desired results, this position will be 40+ hours each week.
  • Understands the importance of: organization, time management, cleanliness and punctuality in regards to paperwork, meetings, deadlines and returning phone calls.
  • Has a minimum of 2-3 years of Management experience.
  • Are you a dog lover and cannot get enough of the outdoors? Downhill Duke's is Copper's only Full-service outdoor restaurant.
  • Has positive outlook.
  • Completes any review and completing the analyzing all budget components including - P&L's, month end, reforecasting, accuracy...etc.
  • Has guest service as a focus.
  • Completes other tasks as directed by the Group Manager- Whether some bill pay, some labor analysis or reporting tools.
  • Possesses technical ability and knowledge to give direction to staff and act on it.
  • Has an ongoing vision for the Division.
  • Completes all operations of the facility. Be the right hand for management.
  • Works in united direction with Senior management, Manager, culinary and service staff in regards to COS controls, systems controls, business analysis, reporting, and reforecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to receive direction and act upon it.
  • Back ground in accounting or a finance aspect an asset.
  • Supervises daily operation of the operation.
  • Adheres to the budget.
  • Adheres and enforces Copper's Policies.
  • Works with Group manager with management of the Restaurant.
  • Supports company goals and philosophies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Will complete training programs within 90 days of employment.

Performs management duties re:

  • Timely in regards to meetings, reports and deadlines.
  • Paper work; Personal Data Form, Payroll (ADP), Separation notices, Employeereviews, Employee consultations, disciplinary action, workers comp form, first injury reports, culinary guidelines and uniform paperwork.
  • Administration Duties: Scheduling, reforecasting, inventory, conflict resolutions, PA's, 1:1's, Attends culinary meetings, budget development
  • Assists with overall restroom cleanliness and duties when needed
  • Sets example
  • Day to day operations.
  • Financial: Forecasting, Scheduling, use of labor tool. Costing schedule, Variance reports and Cost transfers. COS management.
  • Training staff as needed
  • Leads management team with any planning regarding financial planning, menu development, cost control and positioning of restaurant.
  • Completes any inventories as director by Director.

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • All Leadership team members are expected to participate in the company's Front Line Assist program to assist in operations as needed, as well as to participate in Leadership events such as meetings, required trainings, and participating in employee dinners/events
  • Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper "culture" with our guests and employees. Upholds the most professional image. Continually strives to exceed our guest's expectations and create memories for our guests and staff.

Requirements:

Basic Requirements:

  • Eye/hand coordination
  • Intermediate to advanced skiing ability is helpful in this role.
  • Skiing/ Snowboarding Level: Beginner
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • The use of hands and arms for periods of up to six hours
  • Must own non-slip shoes
  • The senses of taste and smell are used frequently
  • Prolonged standing or walking for up to six hours at a time
  • Peripheral, color, and depth vision are essential.

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

  • Possesses a solid knowledge of food safety, food handling and production techniques.
  • Ability to dissect a P&L statement and produce an accurate variance report
  • Thoroughly understands financial procedures used at this resort.
  • Has interpersonal skills to work with other departments and create a productive work environment.
  • Comfortable leading teams
  • Some accounting experience
  • Great with guests
  • Possesses skills to understand the food program
  • Is proficient in a wide variety of culinary skills, trains all staff to the appropriate standards.
