Term of Employment

• This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be necessary based on project needs.
• W2 Contract, 24 Months (Likely Extension)
• Local candidates only.
• This position is hybrid with 2-3 days in the office, which is located in Washington, D.C. Wednesday is a core in-office day.

Overview

Our client is seeking three (3) seasoned Utility Project Managers to manage multiple construction projects from the conceptual stage through completion and closeout. The assigned projects will be on the distribution, transmission, and/or substation systems. Projects may include new, rebuild and reconductor both overhead and underground distribution lines and associated equipment. Substation projects primarily involve replacing or adding equipment in existing substations, including protection, control and communication equipment. These projects range from $2.5M—50 million in budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of projects.
• Follow and adhere to the Project Management process and requirements.
• Provide leadership for project team members and the Project Management process.
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of projects.
• Coordinate and complete projects as assigned within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives.
• Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of the project.

Required Skills & Experience

• High school diploma and PMP Certification.
• 5-6 years of project management experience within the Electric Industry, Construction Management or Heavy Commercial Construction Industry.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with significant responsibility for large budgets or executive interface.
• Experience understanding cost analysis on capital projects.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Experience at well-known companies.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Electric transmission and substation management experience.
