Shutterfly is looking for a Document Composition Manager who directs the development and automated production activities related to data processing and graphical output file composition for digital print manufacturing and other digital marketing communications. This candidate should demonstrate detail-oriented approach, good communication & time management skills, but also team oriented with a desire to lead by example. This role is 20% hands on and 80% managing other members of the team.
What You'll Do Here:

• Prepare, generate and organize print ready art files for automated digital print production.
• Follow standard operating procedures and document new processes when applicable.
• Provide guidance and insight to composition, data services, and e-delivery teams
• Oversee the implementation and execution of automated, data driven transactional communications
• Provide a deep understanding of the software technologies common to composing documents and data services and asset cleansing
• Manage One-Time and Flexible Correspondence teams.
• Prepare and distribute reports as requested by upper management
• Set up and manage One-Time Mailing and Repeat mailing workflows using industry standard and custom built software.
• Participate in or run cross functional team meetings (Client Services, Development & Operations, Customer facing) as it relates to specific projects.

The Skills You'll Bring:

• Solid understanding of data hygiene & postal mailing processes: CASS, PAVE, NCOA, Presort etc.
• Ability to manage others and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and complete projects within established timelines.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office, Quadient (GMC) and /or DOC1, 4GL Data cleansing solutions.
• Experience with both custom built workflows including front ingestion and back end production management.
• Advanced ability to recognize and follow logic in addition to strong analytical capability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced company with short release cycles.
• 4+ years of experience working in or managing data services and composition solutions & digital print production with a focus on automation and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to quickly assess and provide solutions to problems.
• Working knowledge of databases (SQL Server, mySQL, Access, etc)
• Understanding of data driven workflow systems for automating workflows.
• Ability to document workflow procedures in a clear, concise and professional manner for future cross training initiatives.
• Ability to develop and implement new client programs that follow existing team processes and procedures.
