Position Overview
The Manager, Data Systems is responsible for daily administration and operations coordination within the Systems Infrastructure and Integration teams. The role establishes Key Business Process and their linkages with other teams, coordinates resource availability, and coordinates project deliverables within the teams and development of team skills. The role is a working manager role and requires technical skills and experience in addition to leadership.
Essential Duties
People and Team Management
- Manage performance of team, including employee issues; communicating and resolving issues as needed with relevant parties (Executive & Human Resources).
- Interview and make recommendations of hiring candidates.
- Review and approve of teams’ timecards, PTO, etc. in compliance with organizational policies.
- Ensure team is allocated accordingly based upon experience, expertise & interest.
- Create team and individual goals in coordination with team and organizational goals.
- Ensure staff receive necessary training.
- Complete and conduct performance reviews.
- Manage team communications to ensure team has necessary information and tools necessary.
- Leads by example and being a role model of OCHIN’s Values by exhibiting positive behavior to the rest of the team.
- Ability to ensure a high level of customer service to the members/customers is met.
- Ability to recognize and reward team member’s accomplishments accordingly.
Systems Management and Process Improvement Management
- Manage projects and work of the team in alignment with executing team goals and objectives.
- Communicate with individuals and project leaders to deliver the best solution for the process improvement projects.
- Support the analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of relevant process improvement projects.
- Safeguarding assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
- Oversee and maintain detailed architecture, infrastructure, and system standards and documents.
- Manage performance improvement activities to refine internal processes and customer service.
- Maintain a documented scalability plan for all infrastructure that can be reviewed quarterly
- Provider technical oversight and direction to the team
- Advocate in the best interest of the team, our members, and for the organization as a whole.
- Manage to the team budget.
- Communicate and share information to relevant parties regarding team (decisions, outcomes, accomplishments, performance, learnings, best practices, etc.).
- Be an escalation point for after-hours support
- Create operational/team processes to ensure they are effective, documented and followed.
- Has ability to blend tactical and strategic thinking.
- Minimum four (4) years of progressive growth in field.
- Entrepreneurial work or business experience is a plus.
- Successful leadership abilities with the focus on bringing people together to execute needs.
- Ability to provide training and personal development to team members on how to be successful within the organization and with delivering objectives.
- Strong systems thinking ability.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent years of experience in related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of technical support/management of Epic preferred
- Strong communication skills – not only speaking and delivering messages clearly – but listening and understanding other’s needs.
- Minimum of three (3- years) of IT infrastructure Management experience or Leadership roles (e.g. managing a minimum of 15 people maintaing storage, networking, serveres, cloud, firewalls and managing system engineers and administrators) highly preferred
- Prior work history with people management skills, including conflict resolution and facilitation.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills (i.e. using sound judgment of when to delegate tasks and when to roll up one’s sleeves and work with the team to get it done);

Work Location and Travel Requirements
OCHIN is 100% remote organization.? Work from home requirements are:
- High Speed Internet Service
- Travel is required to support OCHIN’s business requirements for Go-Live installations with a minimum of 2 trips per year. May require travel by air, vehicle or train.
- It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace
- Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment

Base Pay Overview
The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint, with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
