Overview:

The IT Procurement Intern position is a supportive role to the IT Procurement Manager and is an opportunity for the right candidate to build skills in Project Management, IT Commodity knowledge, IT Asset Management and Procurement methodologies in SAP and Ariba.
Responsibilities:

• Partner with the IT buyer team to map processes and to identify alternate, more efficient, solutions.
• Maintain documentation relating to the software asset management process and procedures.
• Daily management of software and/or hardware procurement and recordkeeping to ensure data integrity.
• Track data for locations, assets and licenses; as well as linking contract data to software.
• Update software assets with supplier records, service level agreements, and software license information in ServiceNow.

This is an opportunity to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer and holiday breaks.

Required Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required; both verbal and written.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize.
• We are seeking an individual who can work independently and/or collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
• Familiarity with Google (Gmail, Docs, Sites, Groups) and ServiceNow is preferred.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes
• Must be flexible and exercise a high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Required Experience

• Candidates should be working toward an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree from accredited University.

The rate of pay for this role is set at $20.00 / hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
