Summary: As the Jira Administrator, you will provide configuration and administrative support for the Cloud-based Atlassian tool suite, including Jira, Confluence, and other key 3rd party add-ons. Additionally, you will be responsible for front-end configurations, implementing customization, and integrations, evaluating and crafting standard process documentation, and being a go-to source for all Jira-related questions and tasks. You will be a key partner and SME working with internal stakeholders across the organization to align Jira's best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Build a plan and complete projects for an upgrade, high availability, and disaster recovery of JIRA, and Confluence.
- Generate documentation on workflows and processes implemented in JIRA to support runbooks.
- Analyze current JIRA/ Confluence configurations and migrate to new instances.
- Serve as a JIRA / Atlassian technical resource and Subject Matter Expert.
- Provide day-to-day support, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and improvement of JIRA, Confluence, and integrations.
- Recommend operational efficiencies, eliminate complexities & re-work.
- Work with business users to evaluate JIRA and Confluence plug-ins, resolve licensing needs, and perform testing, installation, and configuration of the plug-ins.
- Creating, maintaining, and solving sophisticated JIRA workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
- Configuring Security, Email, Global Settings, Server Administration, and Integrating JIRA with Code Development Tools.
- Implement custom XML-based JIRA gadgets; Support and configure JIRA plugins as required.
- Ensure systems are stable and available and that user issues are addressed promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience with Jira APIs and Tool Integration and Jira Configuration Manager.
- Experience integrating JIRA with Confluence.
- Ability to create custom scripts in Jira to automate workflows and extend base functionality.
- Bachelor's Degree or work experience in a related field.
- DevOps experience is preferred.
- 3 - 5 years experience supporting JIRA.
- Possession of excellent problem-solving skills and process implementation skills.
The base salary range for this position is between $99,118.80 to $132,158.40, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand. This position can be office-based, hybrid, or fully remote in the continental United States. Onbe’s employee base is mostly clustered in the Eastern and Central time zones, with offices in suburban Philadelphia and suburban Chicago. Some periodic travel will be required.
