This position is remote and based in the US.
The Contract Management team assists the organization to control costs, drive service excellence, and mitigate risks to gain increased value from our vendors throughout the contract management lifecycle. The team is responsible for the review, negotiation, execution, tracking, and management of Foot Locker’s contracts internationally in areas like Technology (software, hardware, and services), Supply Chain (transportation, warehousing, and logistics), Procurement (travel, construction, and supplies), and more! The team works with a variety of agreement types including but not limited to: Non-Disclosure Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Professional Services Agreements, Sales / Purchasing Agreements, Sub-contracts, and Licensing Agreements.
The Manager Contract Administration is responsible for negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance, and recommending process improvements. Attributes such as effective communication, active listening, emotional intelligence, transparency, and critical thinking will be important in working with this high performing role.
Responsibilities:- Analyze, report, and improve on executive and program level SLAs and KPIs
- Lead complex and high-profile contract negotiations and renewals from various areas of the organization, producing favorable terms and conditions and cost savings
- Contracts can either be Foot Locker or the supplier templates depending on the product, service, or solution
- Partner closely with legal to continue to develop this critical capability
- Monitor and report on open contracts to key strategic audiences
- Participate on the Contract Operational Excellence committee for the SAP Ariba / CLM tool to increase adoption and solicit feedback to recommend process improvements and efficiencies
- Contracts can either be Foot Locker or the supplier templates depending on the product, service, or solution
- Partner closely with legal to continue to develop this critical capability
- Participate in the administration of technology contracts enterprise wide and ensure that contracts are in compliance with legal requirements, finance policies and controls, privacy regulations, business specifications, and company policies and procedures
- Maintain and enhance team related resources, tools, and documentation
- Be intentional with messaging and the promotion of services, processes, and SLAs
- Provide strategic advice and training as a subject matter expert on contracts, contract management policy, and SAP Ariba/CLM technology contract workflows
- Participate on special projects, ad hoc reporting, and perform other related duties as assigned
- Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)
- Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)
- Ability to balance legal/contractual issues with business risk
- Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Bachelor's Degree in Business related discipline and six or more years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Undergraduate courses in economics, negotiations, finance, business law, and contract law are helpful
- Undergraduate courses in economics, negotiations, finance, business law, and contract law are helpful
- Ability to organize, prioritize and flourish in a high-volume workload and think logically through contractual issues and escalations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Proven ability to manage contract lifecycle, including contract database and workflow
- Knowledge leveraging DocuSign
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate across a diverse cross-functional team
- Understanding of contract language including business and legal aspects
- Results-oriented, take initiative, strategic thinker, able to work in both team environments and independently
- Experience running contract management workflow and reporting in SAP Ariba or a similar e-procurement / CLM tool
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from leadership, business stakeholders, legal, outside counsel, and vendors
- Strong project management skills to execute multiple, complex contracts across multiple stakeholder groups
- Preferred but not required:
- Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)
- Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)
- Proficient in contract negotiations, tactics, and strategies of business and commercial terms, conditions, and pricing
- Communicate effectively and interact with personnel at various levels of expertise on a global landscape including ability to influence and drive alignment
- Knowledge of contracting concepts and contract acquisition law and regulations are essential
