POSITION SUMMARY
The Learning and Development Generalist will create and manage a Learning Dashboard, create and update spreadsheets, and accurately maintain Learning and Development documents. In addition to heavy administrative tasks, this person will expedite and organize the flow of work through the Director’s office. The incumbent will coordinate various aspects of the training and development process which will involve communicating between management and other team members, multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepares complex reports and presentations, gathering and summarizing data and often using advanced office technology including Excel pivot tables and formulas, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), graphics, and spreadsheets.
- Order supplies, prepare requisitions, process purchase orders, training and tuition reimbursement payment requests, and check requests.
- Work with other Learning Specialists to create reference materials, brochures, and other documents needed to support training.
- Track outcomes of all training activities as well as aggregating front desk calls and guest check-in data.
· Reviews documents and initiates follow-up action to ensure appropriate information, approval or signatures are obtained within their specified time frame.
· Maintains physical and computerized records to store accurate documentation of office/department activities; responsible for managing department email box.
- Partner with other departments and record and document initial training requests to create a high-level storyboard for the Learning Management specialist.
- Work with manager to create and launch training surveys designed around specific training needs.
- Provides administrative support to training program and other duties as assigned.
- Under the supervision of manager annually create the Professional Learning Master training calendar and brochure, and continuously updates the calendar to reflect all training & learning opportunities.
- Schedule and administrate training sessions on the Learning Management System including, booking sessions, sending participant invites, recording attendance troubleshooting problems and supporting colleagues with technical queries.
- Manage multiple Learning Management Systems including setting up featured items, creating and managing training boards, presenting data etc.
- Create and manage training completion data (courses completed, pre-and post-training evaluations) and feedback on instructional effectiveness, etc.
- Managing various aspects of an LMS such as enrolling participants in training courses or programs, tracking and reporting training completion data, managing and reporting the day-to-day aspects of a training project.
- Manage the new hire onboarding training process (e.g., create accounts, assign learning, attend onboarding meetings to provide overview of training resources and present a high-level overview of LMS etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational or Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Training and Development, Human Resources, or relevant field, with a minimum of five (5) years working in a learning and development, people development or training role, or working as primary support for a training role. Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) certification preferred.
This position requires a thorough knowledge of general office practices and procedures, training and development practices and concepts and a command of business English. The candidate must be able to deal effectively with staff on all levels, and possess the ability to work effectively to complement the management style of the Director and the organization. This position also requires a mastery of written English, excellent presentation and verbal communication skills, including proof reading and editing. The candidate will have the ability to work independently with excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and customer service skills and attention to detail is a must. Adept with a variety of multi-media training platforms and the ability to evaluate, analyze data and research training options and alternatives. Familiarity with the basic understanding of Learning and Management concepts such as storyboarding, content curation, scheduling courses, and training concepts. Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and related program software.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
