Waukesha Gas Engines (“Waukesha”) is a business unit of INNIO, the leading manufacturer of large, stationary reciprocating engines for the oil and gas power generation industry,. Waukesha engines are designed to run under high-stress conditions in isolated, mission-critical, and demanding environments.
Join us now as Lead Technical Support Engineer for the Rocky Mountain area in either WY, CO, MT, ND or North Texas
Your Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance, failure analysis, and troubleshooting to channel partners and customers for all Waukesha engine and power generation products via phone, email and through the Salesforce Issue Resolution system
- Focused role for support of customers in power generation applications
- Remotely program engine control units as requested by channel partners for replacements, CM&U upgrades and overhauls
- Travel to customer sites to provide technical support and troubleshooting.
- Assist in activities related to new product support and CM&U introductions of power generation products.
- Enter quality issues in the QC tools and participate in review meetings
- Utilize myPlant to pro-actively identify engine issues and coordinate with channel partners to perform the repairs
- Attend training courses and review training materials as requested
- Participate in the root cause analysis process by providing data when requested, attending review meetings, and communicating solutions to the field
- Provide technical data and information to channel partners and customers
- Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality
- Coordinate the return of parts from the field for analysis
Your Profile:
- Either live or willing to move to one of the following states: WY, CO, MT, ND, North TX
- Demonstrated ability to work with a cross-functional teams
- Ability and willingness to travel 30-50% of time
- Strong problem-solving skill set
- Commercial sensitivity with a focus on customer needs
- Strong Communication Skills
- Proven interpersonal skills
- Self-Starter: willingness to work remotely
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technical Degree from a University or Technical College plus minimum of (5) years’ work experience in reciprocating engine/power generation field OR Associate degree in related technical field plus minimum of eight (8) years’ work experience in reciprocating engine/power generation/gas compression
