Laboratory Services Technician Jobs

As a Laboratory Services Technician (LST) at Regions Hospital you will:

• Perform functions associated with obtaining, receiving and processing of laboratory specimens on patients of all ages
• Provides professional and respectful customer service to all patients and their family members, healthcare providers and staff
• Accurately obtain a peripheral IV catheter placement as directed by nursing policies and procedures
• Receive and respond to telephone inquiries about laboratory processes and results
• Perform related functions as assigned
• Participate in training of new personnel and any student clinical rotations
• Accurately perform and deliver an ECG tracking as directed by cardiology policies and procedures
• Maintain laboratory and cardiolology equipment and supplies

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience: Health care experience to include phlebotomy or IV insertion.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of a health care program (e.g. CMA, EMT, Paramedic, phlebotomy)

• Licensure/ Registration/Certification: Phlebotomy Certificate strongly recommended
