Sr. Laboratory Technician

We are looking for:

The Sr. Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing all routine laboratory analytical testing including in-process and finished product samples, raw material samples and effluent waste water samples. The incumbent will investigate and analyze deviations from acceptable quality standards and will be responsible for ensuring the lab and plant equipment is maintained, perform routine calibrations and minor repairs as needed.

We count on you for:

• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
• Perform environmental testing in accordance to state and federal regulations.
• Perform analytical testing on both in-process and finished products of Silica.
• Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements of plant operations.
• Receive and labeling and safely store samples to be tested.
• Inform management of quality and lab instrumentation issues.

You will bring:

• Knowledge of sample analysis
• Knowledge of SAP Preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in an industrial, lab experience preferred
• AS in chemical/science field required
• 1-3 years of experience in a chemical, industrial lab preferred
• BS in chemical/science field preferred
• Good computer knowledge required
