A Junior Product designer on the ikon Technologies team works on a wide range of interconnected products across web and native platforms. Collaborating closely with design leadership, product management, and development teams they create visually appealing and valuable experiences for our customers and users. They are an integral part of the entire product development process, from concept through production, ensuring what we deliver is the highest quality.
Responsibilities
- Follow through with implemented designs to understand their strengths and weaknesses in the real world.
- Determine the best solution through feedback and testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Present, discuss, advocate for, and deliver design deliverables at various stages of the product design process to include conceptual diagrams, workflows, sketches, wireframes, storyboards, mockups, specs, and prototypes.
- Translate product needs and requirements into divergent creative solutions.
- Lead discovery sessions for new features and initiatives.
- Be unrelenting in the pursuit of quality.
- Collect inputs from various stakeholders, including users, to distill into product needs.
- Produce high fidelity prototypes.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to understand the big picture but solve the small problems.
- Able and willing to provide and receive effective and actionable feedback.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills and analytical process.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design or related field.
- Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma a plus)
- Working knowledge of development concepts and processes.
- 2+ years of experience in product design
- Experience and knowledge of design systems.
- Desire to learn and grow skills.
