Staff Product Designer - Collectibles

As a Staff Product Designer on our Focused Categories Collectibles team, you will help shape the future of this critical and foundational eCommerce touchpoint. Using design creativity and user-centered design principles, you will work with cross-functional teams that are reinventing the social, mobile, local commerce landscape on a grand scale to and address exciting new business opportunities. Your responsibility in this role is to craft elegant and simple interfaces that solve sophisticated interaction problems. Strong interaction design skills underpinned by strong visual design and content design skills are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Communicate design work and negotiate strategic direction with peers, researchers, design leaders, product partners and executives
• Build positive working relationships with team members
• Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups and prototypes
• Ability to speak openly about solutions, understand business requirements, and be technical enough to work closely with developers
• Design world-class, user-centered designs incorporating business requirements, product takeaways, and customer feedback
• Participate in user research, testing and product discovery

Requirements

• Proven understanding of full end-to-end, user-centered design processes, techniques and deliverables
• Specialist in designing across multiple devices from mobile, tablet and desktop
• Experience working with product managers and developers to deliver great experiences
• Strong understanding of the user-centered design process
• 8+ years of professional experience in Product Design and BS Degree in interaction design, HCI, industrial design, graphic design, visual communications or equivalent
• Able to understand detail and find radically simple solutions that delight users

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$149,200 - $234,850

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
