Advance Polybag Inc. (API) specializes in the design and manufacture of plastic retail bags for supermarkets, convenience stores, fast food restaurants and other retailers nationwide. API is known in the industry for its excellent quality, service and printing. Established in 1986, today we are one of the world's largest manufacturers of polyethylene bags with sales offices in Chicago, Columbus (OH), Los Angeles and Houston.
We are in search of an experienced Jr. Bookkeeper to add to our Corporate Accounting staff.
Principal Accountabilities in this role:

• Assemble information for external auditors for the audits
• Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation of the assigned bank accounts
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Perform cash postings
• Process invoices to customers – any prior EDI experience will help.
• Maintains historical records by filing documents.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
• Review accounts payable and receivable aging reports

The ideal candidate shall possess the following:

• A minimum of 2 - 4 years’ experience in manufacturing business is preferred
• Prior treasury/banking experience is a plus.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and various accounting software packages
• 2 year associate degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Navision is a plus, but not required
