Job Summary
Leviat North America is seeking an experienced Inventory Control and Planning Manager who is passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience by having the right products in the right place at the right time. This requires an in-depth knowledge of planning, supply chain and inventory control techniques. The right candidate will lead a growing team of planners (2-4 people) and work closely with manufacturing, distribution, and sales to match capacity and inventory with demand, with the output of an efficient production plan across a large number of high-volume SKUs. The Inventory Control and Planning Manager will work across all parts of the organization to resolve issues related to sourcing, capacity, and availability, and is the central point of contact for all product availability related issues throughout the order lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze longer term demand to make recommendations to address any capacity surplus or constraint deficits.
- Review, analyze, and modify plan based on actual production activities and capacity utilization, and adjust short term plan to optimize service and inventory turns.
- Travel around 25%
- Additional duties as assigned
- Responsible for SKU rationalization, supply planning, inventory planning and management. Ensures inventory levels and turnover goals align with business objectives.
- Make recommendations on safety stock levels based on volume, capacity availability, lead times, variability in demand, and product value/priority; execute adjustments as required.
- Lead and manage a team of demand planners to work closely with Customer Service, Product Managers, Sales, Procurement, and Logistics teams to drive continuous improvement in the order fulfillment process.
- Provide KPI reporting around production planning, manufacturing attainment, inventory levels and order fulfillment goals.
- Work closely with Product Management and Sales to coordinate new product launch, transition, and/or discontinuation.
- A player/coach who will own the master production plan to balance sales demand and inventory requirements with available capacity to fulfill customer expectations and achieve business goals.
Job Requirements
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Experience working with ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- ASCM certifications highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead a team in the development of production plans and inventory strategies while effectively communicating recommendations to executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience establishing business processes, managing performance, driving organizational change
- Proven track record in a complex, multi brand business with high volume and mix SKU offerings.
- Proven leadership experience in supply chain planning, inventory control and/or operations within a manufacturing environment.
- A strong analytical mindset, problem solving skills, and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done right is a must.
- 5+ years of direct experience in planning, inventory management or similar.
