YOU

As an Inventory Control Manager, you will lead a team of analysts in the deployment of demand data and strategic initiatives to manage the flow of materials across the supply chain in a way that maximizes on time delivery while minimizing inventory. You will manage multiple complex projects and drive outcomes with optimal results. You will create and implement strategies for continuous improvement and inventory optimization. You will lead a team of experts in inventory control procedures within a fully integrated ERP System (SAP) while practicing lean techniques. You will be responsible for executing on demand signals and maintaining appropriate inventory levels for products that are both procured externally and manufactured in house.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Manage inventory processes, demand planning and on time delivery for materials that are procured externally and manufactured in house. Acts as the central point of contact for inventory management issues; collaborating with inside sales, outside sales, purchasing, warehouse, and production to solve issues and perform root cause analysis. (25%)

Lead analysts through inventory leveling and logistics/truck building analysis following company-wide standard work to optimize existing inventories across the supply chain. Performs days of supply analysis, exception message analysis, backorder root cause analysis, forecast variance analysis. (25%)

Manage a team that is responsible to analyze and interpret customer sales trends, developing insights from data and collaborating with Sales Managers to adjust forecasts through the SIOP process. Analysis of requested forecast adjustments from other dependent plants as submitted by key stakeholders through the SIOP Process for products manufactured or supplied by local plant. Gathers data to identify product availability issues to meet forecasted demand, identifies solutions to availability constraints and presents findings to management. (25%)

Develop reports by creating specs, testing and documentation that support inventory optimization and company initiatives. Analyze current operations processes to determine what critical data reports need to be developed. Identify potential improvement opportunities and solutions. (15%)

Lead, motivate and direct employees using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems. Coach, encourage, and develop employees according to their unique interests and strengths. Empower employees to take responsibility for their career and performance. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback. Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years experience in SAP or other comparable ERP system.
  • Microsoft Excel experience required.
  • Analysis: Ability to analyze and collect data and make sound business judgments.
  • Problem Solving: Identify options for solving a problem and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses.
  • Writing: Write in a clear, concise, and organized manner for the intended audience.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires 15% domestic travel.

PAY

$78,000 - $101,400 / year
