Job Description

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Human Resources Coordinator (New Hire, Training, Recruiting).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator is the owner of the New Hire Onboarding process, owns enrollment administration in the training process, performs administrative support for the recruiting team, and provides program and operational support to the Human Resources team. Given the position and visibility of the human resources function within the company, this role requires an individual to be actively engaged at all levels of the organization, constantly interacting with people in a service environment, simultaneously managing multiple, competing priorities and applying a flexible approach to prioritizing work within the situational needs of the company and the department. The role is on located on premise at our Middletown, RI campus and is a great position to learn and develop as a new HR professional.

New Hire Onboarding

  • Perform pre-employment activities geared toward preparing for the arrival of new employees, including significant interaction with other internal support staff (e.g., IT, Security, Contracts, Accounting, Hiring Managers, etc.)
  • Provision all applicable systems with New Hire information
  • Coordinating and conducting on-boarding activities for all new hires, including significant contact with candidates who have accepted offers,
  • Measure employee satisfaction with the onboarding process using survey data

Training Administration

  • Respond to user inquiries for access issues and course enrollment within the SEACORP Learning Management System (Cornerstone)
  • Reconcile invoices against budgeted items
  • Serve as the employee POC for enrollment in external training courses; work with vendors to ensure registration and payment
  • Track certifications and Talent Profiles in LMS

Recruiting Administration

  • Manage the payment of vendors each month/quarter
  • Support all administrative and procedural actions including the preparation of job postings, interview logistics and offer letters
  • Support the recruiting team with candidate engagement, recruiting outreach and job fairs

General Administrative Support

  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned
  • Prepare and submit Material Requests (including invoice reconciliation) for department expenditures
  • Coordinate the annual Employee Summer Event
  • Administer the preparation of SPOT Awards and distribution of Service Awards
  • Provide customer support to all visiting guests, including verifying credentials and enforcing very strict building access requirements
  • Manage the Human Resources pages in SharePoint, SEACORP’s intranet site for employees
  • Serve as POC for employee inquiries and requests for assistance to the building and to the Human Resources office; answer and route telephone calls; sort and distribute mail within the building
  • Prepare and distribute company master organizational chart and building seating plans (Visio and SmartDraw)
  • Maintain awareness and demonstrate compliance with company policies and procedures as defined in the SEACORP handbook, Code of Conduct and Quality Management System (QMS)

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: Associate's level degree in a business discipline and three years related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Human Resources operations experience is strongly preferred.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
