Job Description

Fyda Freightliner is a family-owned and run business that has grown exponentially since the company was founded in 1954. We now have 7 locations spreading across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Northern Kentucky. Our location in West Jefferson is home to our brand new facility, which includes many employee and customer amenities! Along with the excitement of the new facility, comes the need to fill many new positions. We are looking to add an experienced Human Resources/Recruiting member to our growing team!

The focus of this position is to have a point person for all our employees (prospective and current). All the way from recruiting and retention, to hosting annual company events. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is creative, energetic, and detail oriented.


Job Responsibilities:


Recruiting:

  • Conduct screening interviews of viable candidates
  • Manage all online job posts
  • Look for innovative ways to reach more candidates and increase number of applicants
  • Proactively search for candidates on job websites
  • Participate in local job fairs at Universities and Tech Schools


Pre-employment process/onboarding employee

  • Schedule pre-employment drug & alcohol test and physical
  • Ensure that all steps of onboarding the employee is complete from start to finish
  • First day welcome/ general mandatory training
  • Manage and schedule new hire breakfast meetings
  • Follow up with employee 30-60 days with employee and provide feedback to the manager and GM
  • Coordinate with Managers and IT that all equipment/login credentials are set up prior to start date


Administration

  • Annual benefit enrollment in Paycom
  • Help coordinate, plan and host various employee events
  • Employee contact for questions and concerns about benefits
  • Manage all employee benefit/HR related paperwork
  • Annual benefit meetings set up and welcome
  • Manage ongoing mandatory employee safety trainings
  • Administer random drug & alcohol testing


Qualifications:

Experience: 2 years Human Resources preferred but not required


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
