Our client is seeking a talented and motivated HR Operations Manager to lead and oversee our diverse HR functions, including benefits, payroll, HRIS, compensation, and compliance. As an integral member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work remotely while providing exceptional leadership and support. Leadership and Oversight


  • Prioritize daily tasks and initiatives, collaborating closely with the Director of Talent.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to a team consisting of a Benefits Specialist and Payroll Administrator.
  • Contribute to the HR department budget in partnership with the Director of Talent.


Benefits Administration


  • Collaborate with the finance department and broker/vendors to review, plan, and select firm benefit offerings.
  • Lead the benefit administration process, including new hire benefit orientations, open enrollment, and plan design input.
  • Support the Benefits Specialist in managing staff and attorney leaves of absence and disability administration.
  • Lead and coordinate benefit-related audit efforts.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Coordinate communication strategies and educational initiatives for employees and firm leaders.


Payroll Management


  • Ensure accurate and timely disbursement of multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes, in compliance with


wage and hour laws.


  • Assure seamless payroll filing and reporting processes.
  • Maintain payroll compliance by conducting research, identifying and resolving errors.


HRIS Strategy and Maintenance


  • Compile and distribute metrics, reports, and data to drive business decisions across the firm.
  • Manage the firm's HRIS strategies and processes, including installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of HRIS to provide necessary data and reporting.


Compensation


  • Contribute to the annual bonus process through reporting, analysis, and payroll input.
  • Maintain the staff compensation structure aligned with the firm's compensation and reward philosophy.
  • Lead the annual merit increase process for staff, including reporting preparation, instructions distribution, and payroll processing.
  • Conduct market compensation analyses upon request.


Compliance and Policy Development


  • Manage staff and attorney accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Stay updated on HR compliance regulations and best practices at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Develop and regularly review HR policies and procedures in collaboration with the Director of Talent.
  • Monitor labor and employment law developments to ensure compliance across states of operation.

Job Details


Qualifications


  • Intermediate to advanced HRIS experience, preferably with UKG.
  • 5+ years of HR or related experience, including leadership roles.
  • HR certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in benefits administration.
  • Bachelor's degree required.


Requirements


  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven success in maintaining clarity and consistency in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS systems (preferably UltiPro/UKG), Excel, and report-writing.
  • Experience in compensation and benefits system design and administration.
  • Knowledge of payroll interfaces and security administration.
