Hyster-Yale Group, Inc. (HYG), a world-class manufacturer of tailored forklift, attachment, and fuel cell solutions, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented HRIS Analyst, Leave & Absence located in Greenville, NC.
The HRIS Analyst, Leave & Absence is the primary centralized resource for leave administration for employees at all of the U.S. sites to assure compliance with internal and external regulations. Complementary to the leave and disability administration, this position will assist in maintaining the integrity and reliability of the organization’s HRIS system as it relates to leave and absence in the US.
The HRIS Analyst, Leave & Absence will provide the following key responsibilities:
  • HRIS (Workday) configuration
    • Provide support for all business areas by researching and resolving application problems
    • Offer technical solutions to gain process efficiency
    • Implement improvements through design, configuration, testing, and launch
    • Develop and enhance Workday knowledge
  • Administration of other US Employee Benefits
    • Provide guidance to local HR staff and employees
    • Support of Open Enrollment activities
    • Specific benefits include (not limited to): Medical, Dental, Life Insurance
  • Centralized administration of US Employee Leave Programs
    • Efficient management of established programs and policies
    • Provide guidance to the local HR staff and employees
    • Provide accurate and quality communication
    • Implement, update, and maintain procedures and processes related to US Leave Administration
  • Facilitate mass uploads of data via EIB and maintain EIB configurations in Workday
  • Partner with Business Units to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into fully developed and delivered Workday reports
  • Efficient management of established programs and policies
  • Support of Open Enrollment activities
  • Prepare and maintain reports and dashboards for key stakeholders
    • Partner with Business Units to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into fully developed and delivered Workday reports
  • Provide guidance to the local HR staff and employees
  • Maintain data integrations between Workday system and external and internal systems
    • Facilitate mass uploads of data via EIB and maintain EIB configurations in Workday
  • Support Workday releases
  • Provide guidance to local HR staff and employees
  • Implement, update, and maintain procedures and processes related to US Leave Administration
  • Provide accurate and quality communication
  • Specific benefits include (not limited to): Medical, Dental, Life Insurance
  • Implement improvements through design, configuration, testing, and launch
  • Develop and enhance Workday knowledge

The ideal HRIS Analyst, Leave & Absence candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
  • In lieu of degree, 5 years of employee leave administration combined with some direct HRIS system experience
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in benefit and/or leave administration
  • 1+ years’ experience with application implementation, configuration, development, and support preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formula writing, lookup functions, PIVOT tables)
Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of software development life cycle
  • Ability to translate business issues into technical solutions
  • Technical aptitude
  • Excellent consultative, organization, customer service, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with mapping, analyzing, and re-engineering business processes
  • Attention to detail and high commitment to accuracy and auditing
