POSITION OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for partnering with the business to design, develop and implement strategies to attract, engage, and empower employees, while developing talent and building a high-performance culture. This role provides strategic HR advice, improves business practices, leads complex projects and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Proactively manages and resolves employee relations issues; ensure manager and employee compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Builds strong partnerships with business leaders to translate business strategies and objectives into HR priorities.
- Provides leadership and supervises the performance of HR team members by setting clear work objectives, assessing performance, providing feedback, and development and coaching to build employee capability.
- Works with broader HR team to develop and push strategic HR initiatives throughout the organization.
- Assist in maintaining and improving People-related policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance
- Provides guidance and assist in the implementation of business restructures and workforce planning.
- Coach leaders on people-related matters including talent assessment, development and succession, organization effectiveness, and high-performing team dynamics.
- Partners with assigned client group(s) to identify, develop, and promote programs that meet strategic business objectives.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Background of 5+ years as a Human Resources Business Partner with at least two as a people manager
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, drive change and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization and challenge the status quo.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Self-starter with a drive to continuously improve processes, drive results and remove inefficiencies
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to navigate HR-related information systems and analyze data. Advanced analytical and trouble shooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to translate complex concepts to individuals at all levels.
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
